Persons recognized as a counselor intern by the Texas Department of State Health Services are eligible for a paid internship. Those individuals possessing a degree in the Behavioral Sciences and are not licensed will need to secure an intern letter from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

All interns are supervised by QCCs (Qualified Credentials Counselors, i.e. LCDCs, LMSWs, LPCs, and APCs). Subsequent to the completion of your internship, you will be ultimately prepared to obtain your license.
